Handbuild a modern ceramic vase with Claydate LA, inspired by bold graphic forms and contemporary design. In this workshop, you’ll be guided through the process of creating your own unique design using stoneware clay. Whether you’re a seasoned maker or trying pottery for the first time, Claydate LA provides all of the tools, materials, and instruction to bring your creative vision to life.
We will provide templates inspired by traditional pottery shapes, or you can start from scratch using pattern paper to design your own form. Our expert instructors will support you throughout the process, offering guidance as you build, shape, and refine your piece.
The first part of the class focuses on constructing your vase, followed by time to paint and personalize your design. After the workshop, your piece will be bisque fired and glaze fired, and ready for pickup in approximately two weeks.
Come ready to experiment, play with form, and leave with a statement piece that feels uniquely yours!
This workshop is open to all skill levels.
