Mend + Make Meet-Up
Weekly Summer Craft Social

Looking for a creative way to spend your Wednesday evenings? Join us for Mend + Make Meet-Up, a casual weekly gathering where neighbors, makers, and curious beginners come together to stitch, mend, craft, and connect.

Bring a project you've been meaning to finish, learn a few simple hand-sewing and mending techniques, or pick up an easy craft from the studio. Whether you're patching a favorite pair of jeans, embroidering for the first time, or simply looking for a welcoming creative community, this open-house style meet-up is the perfect place to unwind and make something with your hands.

No experience necessary. Come for an hour or stay all evening.

Included with your ticket:

  • Light snacks
  • A glass of rosé bubbles (Trader Joe's favorites, naturally)
  • Basic mending guidance and hand-sewing support
  • Access to a welcoming community of makers and neighbors

Bring:

  • A clothing item or project you'd like to mend
  • Your current handcraft project
  • Or browse supplies and project ideas available at These Hands

BYOB welcome if you'd like to enjoy something else while you craft.

When: Wednesdays, 6:00 PM –9:00 PM
Format: Open-house style—arrive anytime and stay as long as you'd like
Cost: $22 per person

Let's make Wednesday nights a little more creative.

About the Artist:

Kelsea is a Los Angeles–based fashion designer, maker, and founder of Unndresssed, a practice devoted to helping people get dressed from the inside out. She discovered her love of sewing at the age of nine, and has worked professionally in the fashion industry since high school. Her passion is creating things from exquisite fabrics and loves sharing that joy with others. In her workshops, Kelsea creates a low‑pressure, welcoming space where beginners can feel excited to experiment, make mistakes, and create something special with their own hands. Her teaching philosophy centers on stripping away the critical inner voice and helping people express their authentic selves through what they wear and the pieces they make.

Our Terms: By signing up for a workshop or attending a function which we are hosting, you agree to the terms and conditions stated herein. You do hereby release THESE HANDS, LLC. or any person or persons acting on its behalf from liability for any bodily injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of any personal articles while on the premises or while participating in any activity sponsored by THESE HANDS, LLC. Media Release: I hereby allow THESE HANDS, LLC. to take photographs, video, or audio of me and to use such materials for promotional and archival purposes only. If you wish to opt out, please make the instructor aware of that prior to the start of class.

Class / Workshop Etiquette: All scheduled classes and workshops start and end on time. Please be prompt in your arrival and departure, as we often have other classes starting after yours. Arriving 30 minutes late to a class counts as a no-show, and no make up class will be offered. Teachers are subject to change.

Refund policy: THESE HANDS, LLC. reserves the right to cancel any class due to low enrollment or unforeseen teacher conflicts. If a class is cancelled, we will do our best to reschedule the session.  If you are unable to attend, you will be issued a refund.

Cancellation Policy: You may cancel a class for a full refund 21 days in advance of class/workshop start date. After that, the class is non-refundable.  This applies to all regular workshops. We treat transfers the same as we do with cancellations.  Transfers are only possible if you let us know 21 days in advance.  The only exception that we make is if the class is sold out and has a waiting list.  We can then try to fill your spot with a student from that list.

COVID policy: If you test positive for COVID, please do not attend your scheduled workshop.  Instead please contact us and let us know that you cannot attend.  If you would like to receive a credit towards a future workshop, please email us your Positive PCR results (it must be a valid test with your name included) or a doctor's note.  No refunds will be issued.

Gift Cards: Gift certificates can be applied toward all workshops, labs or These Hands Makers Collective merchandise.  Gift Cards can not be redeemed for cash.  Gift Cards do not expire.
