Romanticize your handwriting era ✍️✨
In this beginner-friendly calligraphy workshop, you’ll learn the foundations of modern calligraphy using brush pens, then apply your new skills to create custom pieces on fabric.
Calligraphy is one of those things that looks intimidating—but doesn’t have to be. This class is designed to give you the tools, techniques, and confidence to start creating beautiful lettering right away (no months of practice required).
We’ll start with the basics—stroke drills, letterforms, and simple word-building—using guided worksheets and a Tombow Fudenosuke brush pen (yours to keep).
Then we shift into creative mode.
For the second half, you’ll design and decorate your own canvas tote bag and pouch using your lettering skills. Think names, phrases, affirmations, or something playful and personal—whatever feels like you.
You’ll have access to a full range of materials to bring your vision to life, including fabric-safe pens and markers, paint, stencils, stamps and wax seals for added texture and detail.
The canvas pouch project has been a past favorite for a reason—it’s cute, functional, and completely customizable.
All skill levels are welcome. Whether you’re brand new or returning to refine your style, you’ll leave with pieces you’re genuinely excited to use (and show off).
Returning students are always welcome—advanced worksheets can be prepared upon request if you’d like to focus on things like letter connections, bounce lettering, or flourishes.
