Class Description:
Using substrates like cardboard, vintage bingo cards and a small canvas this painting class is not for those hoping to walk away with a realistic portrait of their grandma or poodle to hang in the formal living room. This workshop is geared more for fans of googly eyes and a firm belief that everything is better with a pompom on it. Part painting and part assemblage no two weirdos are ever the same, but every single one is amazing.
This workshop is a great chance for students to examine why they may call themselves a crafter, but dare not use the term artist. We will discuss and bust through those myths and fears one wacky portrait at a time.
Everything is included and students will leave with a canvas, bingo card and as many pieces of cardboard as they would like to paint.
Guest host Jennifer Perkins lives in Austin, TX and teaches creative workshops around the country. You can find her crafty handiwork places like HGTV, Amazon, Michaels and more.
