This is a VIRTUAL WORKSHOP! When you register for this course, you will be mailed a kit with all of the tools and materials you will need. You will also be mailed the login information for our virtual course that will take place LIVE on Zoom.us.
Boro (translated as ragged or tattered) is the ancient Japanese art of mending fabric. Originally used as a way to preserve & reuse old garments, it is now seeing a resurgence as a decorative accent to your favorite blue jeans.
During this three hour workshop you will learn the ancient art of Japanese Boro while working on your own garment (Give your old jeans some new life, or any other garment that might need fixing). Also bring any fabric that you might want to use for patchwork. All other tools and materials will be provided in the kit:
