Kid’s Summer Camp - Music and Art!

July 18-21

9am- 2:30pm

Ages: 7-12 (there will be a maximum of 10 campers and there will always be 2 instructors at all times throughout the day)

This is not your average drop-off summer camp. During this week your kids will be exploring the world of art and music with a variety of different artists and musicians from around the world. Each child will build and paint their very own ukulele and also learn the basics of playing that instrument. There will be time for lots of art projects and also body breaks where they can dance out their wiggles. We will also spend the week practicing mindfulness and and of course making new friends.

Please let us know if you have any questions or if your child has any special needs.

 

DROP OFF: You can drop your kids off anytime between 8:50am and 9:15am to make sure that they don't miss any projects!

PICK-UP: Please pick up your campers by 2:30pm.  After 2:30pm, late fees will apply.

BRING: A healthy lunch, a full water bottle with their name on it  and a snack.  We are not a peanut-free facility, so if your child has a peanut allergy, please make sure to let us call us before registering.  Please dress your child in clothing that you don't mind getting messy.  Art can be MESSY! A sweater in case they need it during the day.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Besides a ton of fun, your child will be exploring many different projects and mediums with different instructors throughout the day.  They will be building and decorating their own Ukulele and learning how to actually play the instrument!  There will be painting, clay, coloring, embroidery and more.  There will also be body breaks such as daily walks for a picnic lunch to the grassy knoll at the Venice Pool (13316 Zanja St.) which is less than a 1/2 mile walk.

8:50am-9:15am - Drop Off
9:15am-9:30am - Wiggle Party
9:30am-10:30am - PROJECT (Painting Ukulele)
10:30am-10:45am - Snack
10:45am-11:45am - PROJECT (Paper Cut-out Animals and their habitat)
11:45am-12:45pm - Lunchtime Walk and Picnic
12:45pm-1:45pm - PROJECT (Symmetrical Collage
1:45pm-2:00pm - Snack
2:00pm-2:30pm - Free Play and Pick-up

After you register, we will email you with a Camper Information Form that you are required to complete before the first day of camp.

REFUNDS: Full refunds will be offered if you request at least 14 days before the first day of camp.  50% refunds will be offered if you cancel between 13 and 7 days before the first day of camp.  Otherwise, we will not be able to offer refunds.
