Course Description:

Have you ever wanted to embellish your clothing with embroidery? Join fiber artist Becca Samelson for a workshop exploring how to stitch on wearable items. This class will cover a few basic stitches, tips & tricks for stitching on clothing, and materials needed to make stitching last on your item.

You bring the item you want to stitch on and we will provide multiple pattern options to choose from. You will also have the option to create your own design for your item. The item you bring should be made of a woven fabric with little to no stretch (e.g., denim, linen, or cotton).

Some examples of great items are denim jackets; denim, linen, or cotton chino shorts; cotton canvas hats or bags; woven cotton or linen shirts/blouses.

This class will cover a few basic stitches but will focus on how to adapt embroidery to wearable garments. It is suitable for both beginners and those with some stitching experience!
