Class Description:

Make a piece of modern, botanical art in this multimedia class! You'll be drawing the same floral subject with two different mediums - watercolor and colored pencil. This will be an exploratory class - together we will cover the basics of both materials before diving right into choosing your subject from a big beautiful bouquet. You'll see how your approach to the subject matter changes depending on the medium, and how the colors differ in paint versus pencil? The artist / instructor, Annie Brown, will be around to answer questions and guide you through this play and pollen filled class. 


All materials will be provided. Feel free to take home your flowers! 

About the Artist:

Annie Brown is a Los Angeles-based artist with a love for works on paper. Her work in watercolor, colored pencil, and charcoal focuses on contemporary realism that highlights the beauty of the objects, places, and creatures we see every day. She believes in the accessibility of art and that workshops should be educational with plenty of room for exploration and play.

Level: Some experience preferred but not required
