Japanese Boro (translated as ragged or tattered) is the ancient art of mending fabric. Originally used as a way to preserve & reuse old garments, it is now seeing a resurgence as a decorative accent to your favorite blue jeans.
During this three hour workshop you will learn the ancient art of Japanese Boro while working on your own garment (bring a pair of jeans that need mending or another piece of clothing). Also bring any fabric that you might want to use for patchwork. All other tools and materials will be provided for you to take home at the end of class:
. French Embroidery Hoop
. Embroidery Needles
. Shashiko Thread
