THIS IS AN IN-PERSON WORKSHOP! We will be in a well ventilated studio and every student will be 6 feet apart from others. You will be provided hand sanitizer and you are required to bring and wear your own mask.
In this 4 hour workshop, Cathi will teach you everything you need to know about Copper Enameling.
Let's add color to metal. This expands your world so much creatively! We're going to cover copper sheet, that you have cut out, with powdered enamel and then a color decal. I provide the enamels and decals to choose from as well as the copper sheet and the fire. When you leave you will have three cool pieces that can be a pendant and earrings or maybe links for a bracelet or necklace. We'll use a torch and a kiln and tools...good times. And you'll learn about designing your own decals so you can really take your projects to the next level.
About the Artist:
Cathi Milligan started her art career in the field of graphic design before discovering glass. Glass has since become pretty much all she thinks about. Her glass experience spans over 27 years, mastering techniques such as torch working, kiln forming, mosaic, and now adding glass blowing. This experience has afforded her many opportunities such as television appearances demonstrating torch work and kiln forming, as well as macramé, writing a book (on macramé), and some public art commissions. Cathi creates most of her work in her Sun Valley studio, The Glass Studio.
